Life Steps Foundation Hiring for ECE Teacher Job at Pacifica, CA Full Time

Since 1983, Life Steps Foundation has been a leader in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers in California who have or are at risk of having developmental delays. Our task is to help each family maximize its child’s potential. Because each child is unique, program plans and activities are specifically designed to meet each child’s needs.

The primary purpose of this position is to utilize their skills, knowledge and judgment to develop and create appropriate curriculum plans for children. The ECE Teacher will work in collaboration with the rest of the team in the classroom. Supervise children ages 2-5, help keep the classroom clean and organized and interact with both children and parents in a professional manner.

Job Requirements

• Understanding and knowledge of various curriculum models and being able to implement appropriate models within the classroom.
• Create an enriching environment in order to assist children in reaching their full developmental potential
• Collaborate with other teachers to create daily lesson plans and activities
• Help plan and implement family events and trainings at the program
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Oversee day to day classroom tasks such as managing classroom supplies, cleanliness, and organization, etc.

Minimum Required Education

• Have a minimum of two years field related experience with young children
• Bachelor Degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Possess a valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation and a current automobile insurance
• Pediatric CPR Certified

Minimum Required Experience

• Have 1 year field experience
• Have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Have a minimum of 12 ECE units

Physical Demands

• Ability to physically manage children up to 40lbs(or varying);
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Be able to transition from floor with ease

• Sign-on bonus up to $250, contingent upon completing your 90 introductory period with the company. *

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
