Job Description Summary
Providing secretarial, administrative, and scheduling support for the College of Arts & Sciences Dean, Associate Dean, and Admin office. Monitor budget, supervise student workers, order supplies, and other clerical tasks. Other administrative and secretarial tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the CAS Admin Assistant may include any number of the following general responsibilities:
1. Provide faculty and staff support to departments within the College of Arts and Sciences.
2. Plan, execute, and coordinate CAS events, meetings, and recruitment opportunities such as CFAW, Experience LU, and other student engagement occasions.
3. Understand the basics of operational budget, P-Card policy, and how to arrange travel.
4. Assist with website updates, to include the various CAS departments.
5. Thorough knowledge of MS Office is essential. Knowledge of LU applications such as Canvas, ASIST, WordPress, INFOR, and BuyLU is helpful.
6. Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
7. Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering Liberty University’s mission.

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate. Working environment also includes the facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
