LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor position specializing in Clinical, Clinical-Community, or Counseling Psychology. The position is full time, renewable, non-tenure track and will begin in Fall 2024. Candidates must have earned their Ph.D. in Clinical, Clinical-Community, or Counseling Psychology or directly related fields by the date of employment.
Teaching-track ranks at Lehigh University are Assistant, Associate, and Full Teaching Professor. For this appointment, the initial three-year appointment will be at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank, and the position is eligible for reappointment and promotion through the ranks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching of large introductory courses (Psychopathology, 100-150 students) in addition to smaller upper-level seminars (16-20 students) in the candidate’s field of expertise. Further, with support from Department faculty, the candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing a program that provides undergraduate psychology students opportunities for internships with community partners. If desired, the candidate will have opportunities to mentor undergraduate students in independent research projects.
