Legend Biotech entered into a global collaboration agreement with Janssen, one of the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, to jointly develop and commercialize ciltacabtagene autolecuel (cilta-cel) in 2017. Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Legend Biotech is seeking Payroll Contractor as part of the Human Resources team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

This individual is responsible for executing and improving our US payroll. This individual reports to the Head of Total Rewards & Payroll and coordinates with internal HR team members, external consultants, key stakeholders, and (external and internal) auditors.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and intellectually curious. You are someone who takes initiative on your own to set and execute goals, as well as work collaboratively/effectively with business partners throughout the business. You also help manage international colleagues and co-source partners. You bring experience and are not afraid to think outside the box/pitch ideas on how to improve business operations, as well as create additional, effective payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage payroll for the US.
• Manage providers for US payroll and other HR programs, as needed.
• Assist on other Total Rewards programs and processes, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree is required.
• 3+ years of experience in Payroll is required.
• Experience with Paylocity is required.
• Experience with developing and improving payroll processes.
• Start-up experience and experience implementing a new Payroll system would be beneficial.
• International experience is a plus.
• Experience in life science industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
• Process-oriented with strong analytical skills.
