L’École de Denver is currently seeking:
– part-time/substitute francophone Pre-K teacher for the 2022 – 2023 school year
– full-time francophone Pre-K teacher for the 2023 – 2024 school year.

The teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to effectively facilitate physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of the children. Native (or fluent) proficiency in
French is mandatory.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program

• Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
• Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts
• Supervision and responsibilities for children during recess, snack, lunch and nap time
• Implement positive discipline when required
• Attend professional development trainings
• Holding or willing to obtain Pre-K Director License is a bonus

• Foster trusting collaborative relationships with families
• Understand and implement culturally responsive teaching practices
• Establish consistent expectations and classroom routines for students
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in solving problems, strong organizational and time management skills, and keen attention to detail

Instruction:

• Teach content and skills in French
• Establish clear learning goals and objectives related to the L’École curriculum
• Plan, prepare and present lessons, assignments, and instructional materials aligned to the

understanding of early learning and development

• Differentiate instruction to meet varying student needs
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development in order to maintain complete and accurate records of student’s academic, language and social/emotional progress
• Analyze student assessment data to inform instructional planning

Development and Collaboration:

• Participate in regular feedback sessions from colleagues and school leaders to improve instructional practices
• Participate and contribute to collaborative staff development sessions that drive school improvement and growth of school
• Support the school mission as a member of the teaching team
• Continually improve skill and knowledge base in current research and best practices among the following topics: language immersion, second language acquisition, culturally responsive education, problem solving and interdisciplinary connections

Education, training and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
• Native or fluent proficiency in French
• ECE certification preferred
• International Experience (travel abroad, etc…) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $31.87 per hour
