Job Summary: Core responsibilities of this position include:

The Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and
Materials Center (AMMC) is a, full-time benefited, 12-month position. Representative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
develops, implements, coordinates, supervises, budgets, and evaluates functions of the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Center (AMMC)
such as non-credit technical training, customized training, related workshops, and supports transitions associated with the credit
certificates; responsible for planning functions, personnel functions, budget management, assistance in grant writing and management,
curriculum development, instruction, program reviews, facility management, related instruction in the fabrication lab, and reporting.

This position is grant-funded; specific parameters associated with the grant may impact the start/stop of any employment relationship as

Organizational Relationship:

The
Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Center (AMMC), reports to the Dean, Outreach & Workforce Development. The Manager
supervises FT and PT positions in the AMMC program.

Benefits: Approximately 85% of health insurance premiums paid by
the College, the College will contribute 13.19% of the employee’s salary towards their retirement fund, 12 vacation days, 12 sick

Program Management:

Plan, coordinate, and
successfully execute, the operational functions for the program while achieving program success through effective leadership. Program
Management responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

Program Oversight:

• Establish and complete
  program deliverables including development of curriculum; program implementation; coordinate courses, including course schedules; and lead
  the overall operations of the program.
• Provide leadership and supervision of program staff including development, establishing
  employee schedules, supervision of work performed, and performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain program budget.
• Evaluate
  program needs, goals, and strategic planning.
• Interview, hire, train and evaluate assigned personnel in faculty, educational
  services staff, and student positions.
• Plan program events, functions, and scheduling.
• Conduct program reviews and produce
  reports.
• Along with grants facilitator, complete grant applications to secure federal and state funds
• Monitor grants and
  produce required reports.
• Assists in the design and implementation of programs aligned with current or emerging community, state,
  or national needs, as appropriate.
• Serve as an active member on the High-Altitude Manufacturing Partnership and other relevant
  regional or national organizations.
• Coordinate advisory committee meetings.
• Manage the AMMC facility and support the
  fabrication lab including: 1) equipment, supplies and materials purchasing; 2) coordinate equipment maintenance and repair; 3) coordination
  of facility maintenance with relevant LCCC departments.
• Assist graduates in securing employment through ensuring completion of
  professional classes, job search strategies, and support with coordinating externships and mock interviews with employers.
• Develop
  and maintain program operational, student, compliance, and assessment records in accordance with procedures/policy.
• Oversee and
  develop maintenance procedures for program facilities and equipment to meet all applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Ensure program operates in accordance with policies and procedures, OSHA, Hazardous Communication, FERPA, state law, and applicable
  standards.
• Provide overall program status updates to the assigned supervisor, stakeholders, and/or School Dean, as requested.
• Work collaboratively with community agencies, business and industry, other LCCC schools/departments, program stakeholders, and Outreach
  and Workforce Development staff.
• Collaborate with the assigned supervisor and/or School Dean to align program operations, budget,
  and resources with college initiatives and strategic plan.
• Assure all equipment is in safe working order and meets all applicable
  safety protocols, state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, and/or emergencies to the required
  entities, per procedure.

Program Instruction:

• Provide instructional support to related programs and
  customized training efforts
• Assist students in developing individualized training plans based on pre and post testing assessment
  and placement test information.
• Instruct students, when needed, who are working on various subjects at multiple skill levels.

Service to the College:

Contribute to the College by engaging in activities that support, stimulate,
and sustain the institution and the community. Responsibilities associated with this function include:

Nonessential Functions: An employee

• Assists in development of annual
  program budgets; and works closely with the School Dean on the development of annual school budgets when appropriate.
• Advises
  student clubs or groups as appropriate.
• Assists the College in local, state, regional, or national projects and programs, board, or
  groups when appropriate.
• Solicits feedback and implements suggestions from students and peers.
• Keeps informed of current
  trends and new approaches to instruction via professional development activities.
• As required, attends college, division, program,
  and professional trainings/meetings; may require overnight travel.

  industry and field of study and to adapt program offerings to meet these standards.

  the work environment is usually moderate; however, there may be unexpected instances of somewhat loud sounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a
  regionally accredited institution.
• Two years of leadership and management experience
• Four years of direct manufacturing
  industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four years of leadership and direct supervisory
  experience.
• Two years of experience instructing at an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Two years of
  experience in the marketing of an industrial product or service including email, print, social media, and collaboration with related
  organizations to achieve program/product success.
