Job Summary:
The position of Administrative Assistant III reports directly to the Dean of Student Services. The Administrative Assistant III provides assistance to the Dean and supports directors if other Student Services departments, including Admissions, Advising, Disability Services, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, and Student Activities. Assigns campus parking and distributes parking tags for faculty and staff; maintains list of eligible employees and assigns reserved parking spaces. Maintains office supplies. Assists Student Services departments with requisitions, travel, receiving reports, supply ordering, and occasional correspondence. Performs related duties as assigned. Full-time 40 hours a week job. Some evenings and weekend hours maybe required. Must have a valid Texas drivers’ license. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited two-year college or university with major course work in related area is preferred. Minimum of three years relevant work experience. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Banner, and various electronic communications (e-mail, group text, Facebook, etc.).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Skill in the use of a personal computer, and related technology. Ability to deal with public in a professional, courteous manner. Ability to understand and perform complex oral and written instructions with little or no supervision. Ability to work in occasional stressful situations. Ability to perform detailed work rapidly and accurately. Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, Banner, and various electronic communications. High degree of communication skills, written and spoken. Ability to deal with students, faculty and staff in professional manner. Ability to work as a team member. Must be able to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to follow established college policies and procedures.

Schedule bi-weekly staff meetings, prepares agendas, takes minutes and submits minutes to staff and President in a timely manner.
