Summary

The Director of Donor Engagement will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive donor stewardship program for Lake Forest College. This role will ensure that the strategy is unique to various constituent groups, including College alumni, Major Gift donors, and Annual Fund donors at all giving levels.

Job Responsibilities

• Create, oversee, and execute the College’s comprehensive donor stewardship strategy.
• Manage Assistant Director, Donor Engagement.
• Oversee the College’s Giving Society – the Loyalty Circle – to ensure we are offering a comprehensive suite of benefits for all constituent groups.
• Create and execute Impact Report strategy, process, and annual calendar.
• In partnership with Advancement colleagues and campus partners, oversee and execute suite of engagement events, including Homecoming and Family Weekend.
• Create and plan other high level engagement events to bring universe of donors closer to the College.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of experience overseeing all aspects of donor stewardship required. Must possess strong writing and communication skills. Event planning experience required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of college partners. Must be proficient in print, phone, and digital fundraising tools and platforms. Preference for candidates with experience using Slate CRM or similar, Mailchimp or similar email design software. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications. Ability to develop project budgets.
