Essential Functions:

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
• Must be proficient in the design, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft applications and systems to include expert level understanding of Exchange and Microsoft SQL database.
• Must have a strong understanding of backup systems and architecture to include on site (SAN) and offsite disaster recovery strategies.
• Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the company needs.
• Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to design and install internal and external networks.
• Develops and maintains all systems (e.g. ERP, EDI, DHCP, VPN), applications/software (e.g. SharePoint, Dynamics, Apriso, 3XLogix, TeamViewer, Indusoft), security, and network configurations and infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce all Corporate IT policies and supports other industry standards (AIAG, ISO, IATF).
• Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates disaster recovery plans.
• Provides technical support and guidance to users (Microsoft Office 365, etc.)
• Development and maintenance of network communications.
• Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
• Utilizes very good research, organizational and time management skills to be able to prioritize tasks and to manage a large number of multi-stage projects and complete them in a timely fashion.
• Excellent knowledge of related computer languages (e.g. C#, VB, HTML, CSS)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or similar discipline.
• Some education requirements (minimum of 2 years) can be offset by work experience (industry or federal).
