Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design offers the Bachelor of Science in Interactive Design (IAD). Housed in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the IAD program addresses the need for emerging competencies in user interface design and user experience design. Using an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach, the IAD degree develops the technical, theoretical, and creative skills needed to meet the demands of new, digitally-centered careers.
With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8,500 degree-seeking students, the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, the College offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. RCHSS provides students experiential learning opportunities to enable them to develop leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as a strong sense of civic engagement.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer of Technical Communication in the Department of Technical Communication & Interactive Design beginning August 2024.
Responsibilities
A commitment to excellence in teaching (90%) and service (10%) to the university, department, discipline, and/or professional community is expected of all non-tenure track faculty.
This appointment includes a typical 5/4 teaching load. Faculty in the department are expected to teach in face-to-face modality and may also teach hybrid and online courses.
The primary teaching responsibility is TCOM 2010: Technical Writing, the introductory-level technical communication course. Other courses may include but are not limited to:
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have a master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Technical Communication or a closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in Technical Communication.
