Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The SCMPD offers a Master’s degree in Conflict Management, a Dual Master’s degree in Conflict and Business Administration, a graduate certificate in Applied Peacebuilding, and a Ph.D. in International Conflict Management. It also houses the Center for Conflict Management which promotes peace and conflict resolution and provides training and interventions in conflict management skills to non-degree seekers. The school’s mission includes (1) preparing engaged, interdisciplinary change-makers with rigorous academic and practice skills for peacemaking and development in domestic and international contexts; (2) producing cutting edge, policy-relevant research on conflict, peace, and development; (3) enacting peacebuilding, conflict management, and development programming and practice in a variety of contexts across disciplines, sectors, and levels of analysis; and (4) inspiring peace and promoting positive change.
With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8000 degree-seeking students, the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS), the largest college at the university, prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, the College offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. RCHSS provides students experiential learning opportunities to enable them to develop leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as a strong sense of social responsibility through community and global engagement.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, tenured faculty position as Professor and Director of the School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development (SCMPD) in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences, beginning July 1, 2022.
Responsibilities
The Director is responsible for providing leadership for the School and Center for Conflict Management. They will oversee the School’s academic programs and budgets, facilitate fundraising, and manage the School’s outreach to the academic and practitioner communities. The successful candidate should be an accomplished scholar with demonstrated administrative leadership skills and the ability to create an environment for collaboration, transparency, and shared governance. The Director will have the responsibility to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity. Working in collaboration with School faculty and staff and the Dean’s office, the Director will support and enhance teaching effectiveness, scholarship and research, student success, and community outreach. Salary is commensurate with experience.
