Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree.
• Hold a valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
• Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI).

Successful applicant will:
Teach and instruct secondary school students in science;
Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using the district’s adopted course of study and instructional program guidelines;
Teach using various methodologies, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions and laboratory experiences;
Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of pupils from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity;
Provide group and individual instruction to motivate pupils and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities;
Prepare, administer, score, record and report the results of criterion referenced tests;
Administer, score, record and report the results of group standardized tests in evaluating pupil growth and progress;
Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress;
Perform curriculum and instructional development activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,352.00 – $71,659.00 per year
