Johns Hopkins Medicine Hiring for Director, Organizational Effectiveness and Performance at Baltimore, MD  Full Time

SUMMARY

This role will provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the design and implementation of organizational development and change management initiatives to enable and drive a culture of excellence at Hopkins. Incumbent will have a track record of delivering organization-wide results. S/he will identify performance interventions, programs and strategies as well as evaluate and measure the organizational effectiveness of key operational and strategic projects. Key areas of responsibility include: organizational development, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, coaching, learning and execution of change management efforts. This is a hybrid role with flexibility for both on-site and remote work.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

• Reports to Vice President of Organizational Learning and Effectiveness

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Directs organizational development activities and initiatives concerning change management, organizational relationships, strategic planning and program development.
• Design solutions to address short and long-term business challenges while addressing organizational growth and change.
• Partner with key business stakeholders to facilitate customized engagement interventions that drive strategy execution, achieve transformational business results, sustainable culture change and build leader / organizational capability.
• Help drive employee engagement in the company’s mission, values, priorities, and strategies through effective communications and programs.
• Design and deliver leadership/management development programs, including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Leverage data and analytics to provide insights into organizational effectiveness and measure growth in organizational capability (dashboards, portfolio tracking, etc.)
• Develop high impact development experiences that drive performance and productivity throughout diverse JHHS and partner with HR/business leaders to plan and execute leadership development programs that are measurable for effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources Development, Applied Behavioral Science, Business Administration or related fields required is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a leadership role as Head of Learning, Talent Management or Organization Development. related experience in performance improvement, leadership development, management training, organization development and developing an engaged workforce, including 3-5 years of management experience with significant business impact.
• 7-10+ years of relevant experience in Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Performance Improvement and Learning & Development required.
• Demonstrated experience in strategy and planning (e.g., Strategic facilitation, planning, team building)
• Demonstrated experience applying advanced theoretical knowledge of change management, organization design, and adult learning to solve business challenges.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must possess advanced interpersonal skills in order to consult with managers, staff, executives and business leaders regarding the development and execution of complex plans.

• Superior public speaking skills, presentation and facilitation skills.

• Superior analytical ability to develop sound policies, procedures, systems and programs.
