Title: Supervisor, Software Verification – 94908
Onsite/Remote:Partial Remote Position
This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, Software Verification for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, IA, you will lead a team of Software Test Engineers (Verification Champions) in on-time delivery of test objectives and test results.
- Supervise internal and contract engineers responsible for verifying embedded SW features on displays and controllers
- Drive detailed test planning and improvements in efficiency
- Coordinate and communicate with various teams on test infrastructure, test requests, and test automation initiatives
- Interface with key counterparts in software development management structure to ensure proper test coverage prior to integration
- Develop the talent of individual team members
- Plan and monitor budget allocation across projects and contracts.

What Skills You Need
- Strong software testing and verification experience coupled with demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to interface well with team members and stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience with complex technical software, electrical, and/or mechanical systems, including ability to triage issues when found
- Ability to write detailed test plans identifying proper test location, such as unit, product, system, and/or automated test environments
- Agile development understanding
- Ability to clearly communicate complex issues to a large group of stakeholders and track progress toward a goal
- Demonstrated problem solving skills & ability to work independently
What Makes You Stand Out
- Software test experience – ISTQB certification
- Software development experience
- Experience leading a team of individual contributors
- Experience with one more programming/scripting languages such as C++, C, Python, BASH, or PERL
- Experience with vehicle communication network technologies such as CAN and Ethernet
- In-depth knowledge of Deere Precision Ag products.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
