Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hiring for Network Specialist Job at Jamestown, ND Full Time

Overview:

Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Monday – Friday with typical hours from 8 am – 4:30 pm. Weekend work is rare with the exception of special projects. Call is also occassional as well.

Under the supervision of the IT manager, this person manages the hopsital’s network system.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently implements, monitors, maintains, computer network to ensure optimum operating levels and minimal down time.
  • Schedules network support services, analyzes network failures, and takes corrective action to minimize disruption of services, costs and meet schedule deadlines.
  • Provides for information confidentiality, security and integrity. Maintains adequate backup and disaster recovery.
  • Works with the Material Services Manager and Application Specialist to review and recommend network hardware and software upgrades. Assists with network purchase plans and proposals as needed.
  • Coordinates the movement of computer equipment to ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption of user areas.
  • Works with Application Specialist to evaluate hardware/software for use and implementation.
  • Installs software on server; assists Applications Specialist in installations on end-user PC’s.
  • Installs end-user devices and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support for end-users. Assists Applications Specials in resolving problems with end-user devices and peripherals to ensure that hardware products are working properly.
  • Researches, compiles and analyzes data for special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems or related field preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in network administration; Cisco IOS Experience preferred.
