Job Summary
The Graphic Designer leads high-level design pieces for the University such as WAVE magazine, donor proposals, and Presidents Report. This position requires an expertise in design, project management, and client relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage graphic design student workers and collaborate with designers across campus and freelancers to execute design for new areas such as student life, orientation, student on-boarding, week of welcome, and the student side of homecoming
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Design and manage design projects for major publications and reports for the university including production and finishings
• Serve as a branding expert on campus to review materials and provide assets
• Plan large design production calendars for major events and projects such as Dolphin Dash, President Report and WAVE Magazine
• Develop and execute a design system for the launch of the capital campaign
• Execute high-quality print and digital graphic work for all areas of campus including academics, enrollment, advancement, etc., as needed. Projects may include but are not limited to brand campaigns, flyers, publications, event/conference materials, socialmedia graphics, programs, advertisements, promotional materials, signage, and alumni magazines
• Ensure all visual assets adhere to overall university brand standards and best practices while delivering innovative and quality work. Act as a brand resource for the campus community.
• Design high impact marketing pieces to recruit undergraduate and graduate students, solicit contributions from high-level donors, and support presentations by University administrators.
• Create graphic design templates for groups across campus like corporate proposals, admission pieces, and event flyers.
• Photography on behalf of the University as assigned.
• Contributing to the University’s digital asset management system and assisting in the archiving, tagging, and organization of digital files.
