The Ithaca College School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Sport Management position to work at our Ithaca, NY campus beginning in August 2024. Duties include teaching assigned classes in sport management (five courses per year); conducting impactful research; participating in service to the institution and the profession; and advising students.

Our commitment to teaching excellence, experiential learning, and mentoring students to career success distinguish Ithaca’s program. The successful candidate will teach assigned undergraduate courses and electives related to their expertise. A broad range of subspecialties will be considered; particularly of interest are candidates with a background in facility & event management, college sport administration, analytics, governance, introduction to sport management, finance/economics, and sport for development.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or appropriate terminal degree) in Sport Management, or a closely related field is required. ABD candidates with teaching experience and scholarly productivity may also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of a developing research program and a plan for continuing that program into the future. This will include sufficient research activity to establish or maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic(SA) qualification. Candidate experience working in the sport industry is desirable. We prefer candidates who have a record of successful college teaching, including a commitment to inclusive and accessible pedagogies.

Hiring range: $83,000 – $100,000, dependent on discipline, qualifications and experience.
