The candidate selected for this position is going to work in the Core Infrastructure Services organization in Host & Batch Services, focused on continuous improvement in how we provide secure, reliable Workload Management for the Enterprise. They will work on Batch Job Scheduling optimization, identification and implementation of batch automation solutions, preparing solution documents and using Control-M Planning and Monitoring functions.
Within defined guidelines and framework, translates business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for technology solutions and integrating into enterprise architecture. Provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components. Facilitates Restoration of Service activities in collaboration with multiple, cross-functional support teams.

Tasks
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
Assists in follow-up activities related to Major Incidents and Problems to ensure the appropriate IT teams are engaged to permanently identify Root Cause.
Provides input and insight into the monthly reporting cycles that support the Business.
Supports the collection of documented business and technical requirements, specification and criteria that are leveraged to evaluate product solutions.
Participates in evaluation of technology opportunities and assists in the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions.
Develops an understanding of operations solutions processes.
Assists with the documentation & presentation of solutions designs.
Develops an understanding of project management and change management processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2 years of relevant business support, and/or technical project management experience.
Foundational knowledge of application development or technical project management experience, Voice, WAN/LAN, server, desktop administration or design.
Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and evaluate appropriate technical trade-offs.
Knowledge of regulations and standards, risk management practices, IT Security, etc.
Preferred Requirements :
Up to 2 years of experience using BMC Control-M, or a similar batch job scheduling tool
Experience with Network Data Transmission tools (e.g.: NDM, FTP, etc.)
Familiarity with request ticketing system (e.g.: Service Now, Service Manager, Remedy)
Experience with Excel, SQL or Software Development (e.g. bash scripting, JSON, YML etc)

Compensation: USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this skill is $60,300- $108,600 * (this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
