Overview

The Executive Director, Talent Acquisition (US) develops and implements strategic approaches to attract, recruit, and hire top talent for Insmed. As a partner and advisor, works collaboratively with other members of HR and with business leaders to develop robust talent acquisition (TA) plans by combining in-depth knowledge of TA best practices, new innovation and technology, and an understanding of the business and talent landscape.

Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

• Leads and develops high performing TA team that provides strategic and operational consultation and support across Insmed leadership and hiring managers.
• Implements innovative solutions that leverage technology, such as AI, to identify, source, pipeline, and acquire diverse talent that aligns with our Insmed values.
• Works with CHRO, HR leaders, and key executives to anticipate upcoming talent needs and market landscape.
• Develops strategies for early talent, internship, fellowship, and other pipeline programs.
• Provides leadership and thought partnership to hiring managers, business partners, and HR Business Partners (HRBP) by acting as the internal staffing consultant.
• Uses and analyzes internal and external data to provide leadership with insights and to drive creative solutions, team performance, and enhancements to recruiting strategies and TA processes.
• Keeps up with the changing TA legal landscape and ensures systems and processes are compliant.
• Working with X-US HR/TA leads to ensure consistency in approach and global processes were appropriate. Looks for opportunities to leverage TA programs globally, ensuring a consistent employee experience. Supports the X-US TA searches when collaboration across regions is required.
• Builds relationships across all departments and functions within Insmed to share internal and external talent. Works with HRBPs to find development opportunities for high potential employees through cross-functional or rotational openings.
• In partnership with Corporate Communications and our external vendors, enhances and communicates externally the Insmed brand and employee value proposition.
• Demonstrates an understanding and knowledge of industry information and competitive landscape.
• In partnership with Total Rewards team, builds market competitive and creative offers needed to secure the appropriate talent.
• Evaluates current vendors, identifies new vendors, and maintains relationships with various vendors and partners related to talent acquisition, i.e., job boards, temporary agencies, search firms, industry, and trade groups, etc.
• Oversees the relocation and visa process for new employees.
• Responsible, via their team, for finalizing offer process, inclusive of reference checks, background screens, and compensation requirements; manages the acceptance and declined offers of all candidates.
• Accountable for the onboarding process for new hires.
• Manages assigned budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Talent Acquisition
• A minimum 6+ years in the biotech/pharma sector
• 5+ years of proven experience building, evaluating, and leading teams and projects
• Able to design and implement a strategic approach to Talent Acquisition.
• Thorough knowledge of applicant tracking systems, internet-based recruiting, and behavioral-based interview techniques.
• Experience supporting all key functions including but not limited to: Commercial, R&D, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, G&A Functions
• Proven experience managing executive level recruitment.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing business processes including large scale organizational builds.
• Prior experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong business partner relationships and to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work, lead, and exhibit within Insmed’s core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Passion, Respect, Integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.

Salary Range

Insmed takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
The base salary range for this job is from $230,000.00 to $323,333.00 per year
