Our work environment includes:
Patient Account Specialist Apply all client payments for IC/ICC Review the unapplied client payment report on a weekly basis to ensure client payments are posted in a timely manner and inform the Office Administrator of any changes that need to be made to the client’s billing account. Review and send out monthly client statements to inform them of outstanding balances Collection of past due client balances as per the monthly statement Create and manage client payment plans when needed Assist with the collection of client copays when needed Follow up on credit card denials and update Kareo with new payment information Answer clients’ questions regarding insurance bills, reimbursements, and billing discrepancies. Notify Office Administrator of any client billing issues when necessary Assist with insurance verifications as needed Required Education and Experience: HS Diploma or GED Proficiency in basic computer skill with the ability to work with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Will receive training on Kareo PM. Knowledge of medical terminology and billing. Experience working as a Patient Account Representative is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Detail-oriented Ability to work independently Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner. 1
