ITI is offering a Fellowship Program with the Public Sector team.
The Public Sector team houses ITI’s advocacy in the United States with a focus on procurement processes at the federal and state levels.
The Public Sector team seeks a qualified graduate student interested in technology career-related workforce policy to further their academic and career development in a policy advocacy organization.
As a prospective and/or new employee, you will be required to comply with the company’s vaccination protocol.
Your
Responsibilities:
Monitor technology and cybersecurity workforce-related legislative, regulatory, and policy proposals in the United States Federal Government.
Assist in drafting fact sheets, position papers, letters, comments, and other written materials for policymakers on workforce reforms and issues.
Research and aggregate data regarding ITI’s members’ existing workforce development opportunities for students, including internships, apprenticeships, externships, etc.
, with a focus on opportunities available for students identifying as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
Research and aggregate data regarding ITI’s members’ existing workforce development opportunities for faculty members at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), etc.
Support efforts to make data available on an external facing website with a user-friendly and accessible interface.
Support marketing efforts to share data on workforce development opportunities with students, faculty, and federal/state/local government institutions across the United States.
Your
Qualifications:
Applied and accepted into a Master’s degree program focused on technology, public policy, human resources, social sciences, business, communications, marketing, or a related field Demonstrated interest and knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) workforce issues; demonstrated interest in these issues in technology/cybersecurity fields is a plus Basic understanding of statutes and regulations, including the federal legislative and rulemaking processes.
Open source research, analytical, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office 365 required Web design and content creation experience is a plus External marketing and communications experience in a previous job, internships, volunteer position, etc.
