Oversee asset management, work planning and scheduling, fleet management, event scheduling, part inventory, and front office duties. Manages the front office with the Project Coordinator. Assists the Director of the Physical Plant. This is a full time, on-campus position. Responsibilities:
Maintain work order system; develop and maintain accuracy of asset data in work order system; develop and maintain accuracy of work order data including equipment, parts, labor, work descriptions, and budget codes; develop reports for key performance indicators (KPI) related work completion and effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) plans; act as Physical Plant liaison with other University units to train requesters and process requests
Drive materials management process; develop list of critical inventory parts, manage inventory and develop supply chain relationships for on time delivery of parts; work with vendors and technicians to determine correct parts, generate requisitions, receive materials and manage storage; audit materials management process with regularly scheduled counts and KPIs; work with technicians to reduce costs and improve quality of parts; manage the accounts payable process
Develop and maintain PM Program; develop and maintain PM plans, ensure equipment assets and parts are included, work with technicians to develop tasks; audit PM program to determine effectiveness, interpret data and make recommendations based on findings; periodically review PM material requirements and tasks; work with vendors to conduct annual PM inspections
Coordinate underground locating; review locating requests during work hours and in emergency situations; create work orders for technicians; notify technicians of work to be performed; close tickets after completed
Requirements and Knowledge:
Minimum of three years related office experience; prefer understanding of maintenance repair operations, PM and material management concepts. Strong computer skills and mechanically inclined. Needs basic understanding of mechanics and construction methods
Physically able to stand, walk, reach, twist, bend and climb stairs. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
This position requires an on-call rotation among managers
