Job Summary
The mission of the department of Campus Recreation is to enhance the quality of life of our unique members by educating and encouraging active participation in recreational opportunities that develop leadership skills, foster social interaction, and reinforce healthy behaviors. The position of Office Support Specialist is the primary contact for Campus Recreation. This position will be the primary support person for Student Employment, facility reservations, and will assist professional staff for all program areas as needed. It requires communication and telephone skills, guest services skills, and organizational skills for an effective and productive work environment.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$16.68 – $17.33 per hour
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months from the categories below:
A. College coursework in any curriculum, a measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
-Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
-Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B. Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including the use of computer systems.
3. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the second level of this series. This includes performing office support tasks requiring knowledge of general office and departmental procedures and methods, the ability to operate a variety of office equipment, and the ability to operate computer systems using word processing, database, and software packages.

Work Hours
8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
