Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare administrator to supervise one of ODM’s Non-Institutional Policy Teams. You will manage a team that researches federal and state regulations, current and previous policies, and applicable court cases in the formulation of Medicaid coverage and payment policies. Your responsibilities will include:
overseeing the development of Ohio Administrative Code rule policy work and systems work for provider types (e.g., clinics, dental providers, professional and skilled therapy providers)
directing subordinates in submitting and maintaining federal approval for subject matter area state plan amendments and applicable documents
directing the research, analysis, and evaluation of the impact of federal and state regulations regarding the Ohio Medicaid program
formulating high-level statewide policies and providing policy recommendations regarding coverage and payment for Medicaid covered services
serving as the agency liaison and working collaboratively with stakeholders (e.g., Medicaid providers, managed care entities, sister state agencies and health related organizations) to develop Medicaid policies
overseeing technical assistance provided to Ohio Managed Care Entities and other stakeholders for the administration of Medicaid-covered services

Employee Development Funds
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).
Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295.
