BASIC
FUNCTION:
The Director will serve as the connectivity with the entire team, including, but not limited to, the Assistant Dean of
Impact and Engagement, the Chair of the Marketing Department, GAs, TAs, administrators and the project sponsor (Warner Music Group-WMG). In
this position, the Director will assume the responsibility of developing curriculum, creating lecture opportunities for executives,
establishing new relationships within varying sectors of music and entertainment, creating program timelines, and any other related duties
to help the success of the Center. In addition, the Director will track quantifiable data and statistical evidence to qualify the success of
the Center for Music and Entertainment. This will include snapshots of student success and recommend ways in which improvement could be to
assure the success of the Center.
SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:
This position will have one direct report. Formally
plans, assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of the Center employees. Responsible for performing some non-supervisory duties in
addition to supervisory responsibilities.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff
and students both within the department and University-wide. External contacts include government agencies, sponsor representatives,
vendors, visitors, officials and the general public.
