The Senior HR Generalist will plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate overall human resource management activities to optimize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions at site such as non-exempt, recruitment, training, personnel policies and legal compliance.
1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers an effective employee relations program which ensures employee needs are met
- Assists with the safety program including incident investigations, employee needs and risk mitigation
- Anticipates potential risk by remaining current on employment law
- Authors, interprets and executes policies and procedures
- Perform human resource related administrative functions to including hiring terminations and payroll audits within an HRI system as needed
- Responsible for non-exempt recruiting and staffing including communication internally and externally
- Responsible for new employee onboarding and orientation
- Participates in implementing employee benefit programs
- Maintains daily HR activities effectively in accordance with HR policies, procedures, and organizational expectations
- Processes and represents site for unemployment claims process
- Responsible for preparing and managing assigned budgets
- Creates and maintains job descriptions as necessary and monitors performance management system
- Maintains records and compiles statistical reports on various personnel-related information such as new hires, transfers, terminations, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
2. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or PHR/SHPR/CP/SCP preferred
- Five to eight years’ experience in Human Resources management or administration preferred
- Education/experience in Risk Management a plus

- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office products required
Work Environment: Work conditions are consistent with a general office environment. Sitting for long periods of time will require that the employee understand and be able to apply good office ergonomics. Potential for exposure to the manufacturing environment will require the understanding and use of required PPE applicable to that environment.
