This is an exciting time to join Honeywell Aerospace and the Mechanical Systems & Components (MS&C) business. This is a great position to develop and showcase your growing leadership abilities in a highly visible and impactful role within the MS&C Engineering Team.
The MS&C Director of Engineering applies proven technical and program competency in delivering design solutions to the MS&C Wheel and Brake product line. The Director of Engineering works closely with a strong network of customers, peers and internal technical executives associated with product design tools and processes. The Director of Engineering technically understands and evaluates engineering features and technologies of multiple products within the Wheel and Brake portfolio and understands the design criteria and trades associated with developing a new Wheel and Brake product. The Director of Engineering provides leadership to other Honeywell teams across MS&C which are geographically located in the South Bend, IN facility to deliver product designs that meet cost, schedule and performance objectives. The Director of Engineering also leads a variety of technology capability growth initiatives to keep the organization at the cutting edge of Aerospace technical capability.
This role is also responsible for enabling engineering productivity through deployment of a wide variety of cost, organizational and skillset strategies and timely implementation of improvement initiatives. Sets standards for performance relative to cycle time, schedule, budget and milestones performance and drives transformational improvements.
