Description:

The HRIS Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, assisting the HR team in applying this data to make recommendations related to talent acquisition, employee engagement, and other HR projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), payroll outputs, and other sources.
• Complete compensation and regulatory surveys (IPEDS, AAUP, Chronicle of Great Colleges, Common Data Set, NYSED).
• Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to talent acquisition, employee engagement, turnover, student employment, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. Utilizes this data to make actionable recommendations.
• Assist with fiscal and calendar year end processing, including compliance audits on regulatory limits.
• Participate in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS upgrades, patches, fixes, and other technical projects as assigned. Documents process and results.
• Develop ad hoc reporting for the HR Team and other University constituents as needed.
• Assist with administering/coordinating annual compensation planning processes and develop compensation reports to monitor compliance with regulatory changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior work-related experience, specifically working with an HRIS and related areas such as payroll, job classification, and compensation.
• Prior experience creating ad hoc reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated analytical, conceptual thinking, and quantitative skills.
• Must have a high level of analytical skills, including strong use of Excel including v-lookup, pivot tables, and experience dealing with large volumes of data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access and Excel.
• Ability to visually summarize data for an executive audience.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and other employee management software.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner is a plus.
• Exhibit ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• Demonstrated high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
