Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Counseling Services, the Assistant Director of Outreach and Programming is a dually conceptualized position. This individual with be a clinician first, immersed in the work of counseling students and providing supervision for our doctoral Interns and Externs. Secondarily, this individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Associate Director of Health Promotion to educate, inform and connect with the Hofstra community around mental health issues. This individual will engage the campus in greater conversations about college student mental health. An ideal candidate for this role engages on a personal level, with students at all levels of their Hofstra University education: undergraduate, graduate, law, and medical both clinically and through outreach. The Assistant Director of Outreach and Programming will provide programs of interest to a broad range of staff and students that promote multidimensional wellness, educate about how to effectively access and utilize Student Counseling Services’ various offerings in order to achieve their best version of wellness.
