The Vice President of Student Services is a full-time administrative position that reports to the college President. They are the executive responsible for student services and development of programs to support Highline College’s mission of fostering student achievement, scholarship, and completion with high quality, accessible, and affordable learning opportunities. The successful candidate will provide vision for programs that enhance the student experience at the College, build partnerships, set benchmarks, develop best practices, and facilitate collaborative efforts across all divisions of the College.
The Vice President of Student Services serves as the Chief Student Services Officer of the College, providing planning, organization, leadership, direction, and oversight for all areas of Student Services, including: Enrollment Services, the Advising and Transfer Centers, Career and Student Employment, Financial Aid and Workforce Education Services, the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct, the Center for Leadership and Service, Center for Cultural and Inclusive Excellence, Running Start, Counseling, Women’s Programs/WorkFirst, Veterans Services, and International Student Programs. The Vice President of Student Services (VPSS) is also responsible for the development and administration of comprehensive student services consistent with Washington State law, Washington Administrative Code, policies of the Board of Trustees, and procedures established by the college president.
This is an at-will full time, exempt position. The administrative assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off-campus work and/or hours.
Highline College anticipates the first round of interviews for this position to take place in November 2023. Finalists will be invited to present at a campus-wide forum in early December 2023.
