The Program Manager performs duties that call for knowledge and experience specific to the Highline Support Center Departments (Workforce Education Services, Transition Center, Re-Entry Education Transition Pathways, United Way King County Benefits Hub, and Community Partners) while working under the general supervision of the Director of Workforce Education Services Department. The program manager will serve as the first point of contact for assigning students to different Support Center departments’ services. Provides educational materials on important policies and actions to program participants, faculty, staff, students, and the general public. The program manager will carry out specific technical and administrative duties for the processes and procedures of the workforce education services, as well as process applications for the Student Emergency Assistance Grant (SEAG) from eligible students. Create and maintain a record of the Workforce Education Services department as well as records relating to the Highline Support Center program operations. Compose written communications for all correspondence and inquiries.
This position is a classified full-time position and eligible for overtime. Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm.
SALARY INFORMATION:The above salary range reflects the starting step of Range 48 (Step ) and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. As a new employed classified employee, based on annual increments, it will take 5.5 years to reach Step L on the salary schedule, 11.54072*1.05 years reach step M on the salary schedule. This does not reflect any contractual changes, legislative mandated salary increases or Cost of Living Increases (COLA’s) that may be approved in the future.
