The Campus Security Sergeant is responsible for supervising and training the evening campus security officers in providing excellent customer service to the Highline College community. In addition, the position will assist in the training safety, security, and emergency management procedures for faculty, staff, and students. The position reports directly to the Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management.
This position is a classified, non-represented, full time position, and is eligible for overtime.
Regular work hours are from 4 PM to 12AM, Monday through Friday. Some flexible hours and weekends may be required.
Salary Information:The above salary range reflects the starting step of Range 51 (Step A) and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. As a new classified employee, based on annual increments, it will take 5.5 years to reach Step L on the salary schedule, 11.5 years to reach step M on the salary schedule. This does not reflect any contractual changes; legislative mandated salary increases or Cost of Living Increases (COLA’s) that may be approved in the future.
