Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
This position will be mainly responsible for the assistance of tracking of new hires from accepted/signed offer letter through being cleared to start. Frequently, there will also be a rehire needing the same attention as well as an employee who will need to complete onboarding to be cleared to work at additional facilities. These duties as well as additional duties in assisting the HR department are outlined below:
- Applicant tracking and electronic new hire onboarding administration
- Collection and tracking of new hire, rehire and/or re-credentialing background checks and drug screens
- Collection and tracking of all I-9 administration/filing
- Collection and tracking of all new hire, rehire and/or re-credentialing certifications and licensing
- Verifications of employment
- Assist with processing of personnel actions forms including but not limited to: pay changes, promotions, transfers, home facility changes, terminations
- Communication to other departments as necessary due to employee changes (IT, payroll, training, facilities, credentialing)
- Assist with HR inquiries and soft transfers to appropriate HR staff member as it relates to the following: benefits questions, LOA, employee relations, and any other inquiry directed to HR
- Acts as a liaison between HealthPRO-Heritage corporate, Home Health, Hospice and community administration and is able to communicate assertive and diplomatically
- Is an active participant with the HR team in the creation, implementation and execution of HR team initiatives
- Promotes positive employee relations by facilitating an atmosphere of open communication and problem solving
- Monitors and assists with personnel compliance standards including required credentials
- Participates in open and direct communication with supervisor through formal and informal contact.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Associates degree or equivalent training
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
- Communicates effectively and professionally in all situations with varying personalities of customers, potential new hires, employees and management
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, can handle various demands and unexpected events
- Maintain confidentially of company employee information
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completion
- Demonstrates consistent multi-tasking and adaptability to work flows
- Identifies problems and resolves them in a timely manner
- Basic knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
- Prioritizes work activities to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods of time
