We are currently seeking a Chief Information Officer. This senior level position manages our IT component (Infrastructure/Operation, Telecommunications & Networking, Application Development, Application Support and Enterprise Cybersecurity Information Security) and advises business leads on emerging technologies and digital trends that are relevant to the organization’s goals and evolving needs. The CIO will make a key contribution to the formulation of the organization’s business and digital strategies and determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
· Develops an IT vision strategy and a roadmap, and leads the IT team and its business partners in effective execution.
· Ensures, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with the organization’s business objectives.
· Prepares and monitors IT operational budgets and expense tracking.
· Works collaboratively and builds relationships with executive and department heads to understand their issues, challenges and opportunities.
· Implements an effective IT organizational design to support and engage with the enterprise.
· Directs the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the organization’s operations and business & clinical applications.
· Establishes metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on the organization.
· Maintains oversight and sponsorship of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.
· Leads the design and implementation of an organization-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
· Establishes and enforces IT policies, process, procedures and the development of standards and methodologies.
· Monitors the industry for development in IT operations; evaluates and implements relevant new tools and/or service management frameworks.
· Maintains an understanding of health informatics concepts and healthcare workflow and operations.
· Collaborates with the Chief of Information Security to plan and deploy information security measure to protect the organization against cybersecurity threats and unauthorized access to sensitive date (e.g. ePHI, PII)
· Hires, develops, evaluates, rewards and retains a highly-qualified team of IT professionals.
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or similar relevant field.
· 5+ years in IT Executive position.
· 10+ years of leading, managing and coaching IT teams and professionals.
· Technical credibility with demonstrated knowledge of networking, unified communications, cloud platforms (eg. Microsoft 365), high performance computing systems, information security, EHR systems and .NET platforms.
· Able to create a clear strategic vision for information technology that supports business objectives and can execute on that vision.
· Possesses exceptional business acumen, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Able to work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate an IT vision and strategy across all levels of the organization, and build consensus around key initiatives and projects.
· Excellent negotiating skills with internal customers and external service providers.
· Possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; able to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Proven ability to build trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
· Experience driving digital transformation and business growth and development through innovation and implementation of technology.
· Knowledge of a range of vendor technology solutions; able to select and integrate the most appropriate technologies to support the business.
· Experience in designing and managing effective IT governance.
· Background in operational and capital finances and IT budget development.
· Experience in HIPAA and PCI DSS data protection standards.
· Experience in virtualized environment through VMWare and application deployment via Citrix.
