BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the development of layouts and designs for marketing materials across multiple
business units; participate in meetings to define strategy for campaign or deliverables; develop
layouts and designs incorporating content from business unit; ensure budget for each project is
adhered to, balancing quality deliverables and price; ensure consistency in branding across
business units while maintaining each business units unique identity; design display booths for
tradeshow usage; create concept and design for website layout working with vendors or internal
contacts to code and develop website
MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Graphic Design Function – Responsible for the development of layouts and designs for
marketing materials for assigned business units, ensuring adherence to established corporate and
departmental policies and procedures
* Participate in meetings to define strategy for campaign or deliverables ensuring a clear
understanding of assigned responsibilities
* Develop layouts and designs incorporating content from business unit (e.g., brochures, case
studies, flyers, etc.) ensuring graphic design best practices are followed
* Define medium for each project (e.g., brochures, print ads, PowerPoint, etc.) ensuring
appropriate review and approval by department management and/or client are obtained
* Ensure budget for each project is adhered to, balancing quality deliverables and price
* Update promotional materials as requested
* Ensure consistency in branding across business units while maintaining each business units
unique identity while ensuring corporate branding standards are followed
* Design logos for new and existing products and departments
* Maintain a current knowledge of graphic design/commercial art field and make
recommendations on improvements to management
* Design display booths for tradeshow usage, maintaining and updating signage as needed
* Create concept and design for website layout working with vendors or internal contacts to code
and develop website
*Continually keep up-to-date on assigned business unit products and services in order to provide
quality graphic design
Problem Resolution – Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of
problems related to area of responsibility
* Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee’s level
* Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee’s control that could adversely impact
the services being provided
* Place the highest priority on providing quality customer service by ensuring the unique needs
of customers are met
* Ensure quality resolution and thorough and accurate documentation of customer issues
* Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding
recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of
problems
* Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of
all related issues
Project Coordination – Coordinate, prioritize, and participate in activities associated with
completing assigned projects or project task(s).
* Update project plan as necessary
* Monitor progress of tasks ensuring all deadlines are met as scheduled
* Provide management with status reports detailing status and timelines
* Follow all steps to close project which may include conducting meetings, completing project
reports, and maintaining completed project file
Team Interfaces/Customer Service – Establish and maintain a professional relationship with
internal/external customers, team members and department contacts.
* Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
* Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves level of
service being provided
* Treat all internal/external customers, team members and department contacts with
dignity/respect
* Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee’s control that could adversely impact
the services being provided
Vendor Relationship – Establish and maintain a professional relationship with various vendors
and suppliers.
* Manage vendor activities, including participating in vendor planning sessions to ensure that
vendors comply with specifications
* Coordinate vendor activities (e.g., negotiate price quotes, schedule due dates, production dates,
shipping, , quality control, changes, etc.) in a timely manner
Mental and Physical Requirements – –
*This position will be remote
*The nature of the work in this position is sedentary and the incumbent will be sitting most of the
time
*Essential physical functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over hand, and
repetitive motions to utilize general computer software/hardware continuously throughout the
work day
*Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on tasks, reading information,
and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the work day

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work incommercial art or graphic design required.
