Position Responsibilities:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Utilize system engineering experience in requirements definition and system architecture development, in a multi-discipline team for the design, development, integration and production of multiple training system products.
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Performs analyses of Engineering and Manufacturing Operations completions against program needs to assure delivery schedule milestones are met.
Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements for management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
Proposal creation
Focal for hardware subsystem requirements
Liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering
Report Status on Drawing completion
Report Status on Hardware Build progress
Help resolve hardware non-conformance issues (NCR’s)
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in dealing with cross functional teams
Experience with hardware integration for spacecraft, missile or aircraft systems
Experience with interpreting Bill of Material (BOM’s)
Experience integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems into a larger system
Experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience**
Training Systems experience
Previous System Engineering experience
CAM certified
Typical Education/ Experience:
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
Senior (Level 4)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification.

Summary pay range for mid-level: $97,750 – $132,250
Summary pay range for senior level: $119,850 – $162,150
