About the Job

The Hardware Resources division is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our accounting and finance team and become an important contributor to our continued rapid growth. We have an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bossier City, LA. This person will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and monthly expense reports.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices including matching purchase orders and receiving documents
• Ensure invoices are correctly classified for each GL department
• Maximize vendor discount programs
• Ensure compliance with the company’s signature authority policy
• Ensure A/P payments are made timely and accurately
• Process monthly employee expense reports submitted and verify compliance with the expense policy
• Reconcile A/P module to the GL on a weekly basis with the goal of no reconciling items at month end
• Assist with the bank reconciliation to resolve A/P differences
• Propose process improvements, where necessary
• Maintain organized vendor files
• Document scanning

Requirements

• Associate’s degree preferred
• At least 2 – 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail, organized
• Intermediate level with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience handling domestic and international wire transfers desired
• Experience with freight invoices desired
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Friendly and professional communication and willingness to work as a team
• Proven record of consistent attendance is critical due to the nature of the job
