This position is for 3rd Shift – Sunday through Thursday 10pm to 6am
Provide an atmosphere that is approachable to all employees and promotes positive employee relations.
Maintain the plant wide required hourly staffing level and the Hourly Labor Sheets. This requires daily monitoring, updating, and coordination with all plant production superintendents.
Performs all duties relative to time and attendance, including issuing appropriate disciplinary actions according to policy and weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
Ensure all employee record changes (raises, department, position, pay changes, new hires, terms, quits, etc.) are accurately and properly documented and processed each week.
Assist all employees with daily questions, concerns, issues, and needs to help employees as quickly as possible.
Assist with the direct hiring process by ensuring pre-employment background checks and drug screening are performed, new hire orientations and paperwork is completed, complete I-9’s and conduct I-9 audits, and ensure new hire information / termination data is entered into PayCor correctly and timely.
Maintain employee personnel files, I-9, medical, training files, and follow Company retention policies.
Provide assistance to front line leadership when dealing with employee matters and issues as needed to ensure compliance, fair, and consistent treatment. Also, ensure Supervisors follow the proper progressive discipline protocol when issuing warnings.
Prepare and post hourly premium position openings as needed for the designated duration, analyze all data for interested candidates, interviews are conducted, and post the results. Make the plan for the employee transition and communicate the results to the necessary Supervisors, Managers, and the employee.
Prepare and post assorted communication postings for the boards as directed (this includes things such as scheduled work, events coming up, meeting dates/times, etc.…).
Completes HR reports, including EEO timely and efficiently.
Administers and ensures company policies and procedures are followed (Hourly Employee Handbook).
Conduct employee orientations.
Maintain and ensures confidentiality.
Assist the HR Manager with recruiting initiatives including conducting initial phone interviews and coordinating and scheduling face to face interviews, and testing.
Provide all information relative to unemployment claim processing.
Manage, monitor, and follow through with the appropriate action when hourly employees have reached termination per the No Fault Attendance Policy, they receive three written warnings, or are subject to employment termination for any serious violation.
Educate employees on benefit programs, policies, and procedures.
Walks plant floor daily and participates in meetings on the plant floor.
Provides any assistance required for employee morale events such as spirit days, charity fundraisers, picnics, parties, contests, Town Halls, etc.….
Ensures HR compliance with state and federal laws; including labor posters and other requires legal postings.
Master knowledge of Employee Handbook.
Communicate daily call-ins.
Fully support the Open Door Policy by providing assistance to all employees when you can and/or help direct them to the person that can help.
Continually update and maintain PowerPoint presentations for hourly orientation.
Evaluate crew issues when appropriate to the HR Manager.
Learn every Antolin Shelby employee’s name on their crew.
Works as an effective team member with all departments.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annually Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the HR Manager and the management staff as needed.
Train and ensure Employee Handbook is adhered to by all function leaders and appropriate team members.
Participate in internal / external audits as required.
Listen, participate, and assist with grievance resolution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Abide by all health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations which promote safety in the workplace.
Distribute uniform T-shirts accordingly.
Create badges and update security system as needed.
Order Cintas uniforms as needed.
Update One Call Now system as changes occur.
