Job Description:
Intern/Trainee, Accounting Shared Services – opportunity designed to give students practical corporate accounting work experience while contributing to our organization’s growth and success. The Accounting Intern will perform both accounting and administrative tasks in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and enter daily and month end journal entries
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
Run Oracle Fusion reports and update schedules.
Participation in monthly close processwith particular emphasis on assisting with Finance submitted journal entries.
Assist with quarter and year-end audits as required.
Involvement in special projects as needed.
Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Have good judgement and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements:
Rising Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferably progressing beyond introductory coursework).
Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Thrive in a team driven environment and be able to work independently.
Work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Possess a positive attitude.
Detail oriented and able to set priorities and manage deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with exposure to vlookups and pivot tables.
