University Research Services and Administration (URSA)
The University Research Centers (URCs) conduct a variety of research involving translational research in neuroimaging, behavioral neuroscience, diagnostic technology, neuroinflammation and cardiometabolic diseases, and other areas. The centers involve faculty from a variety of colleges and departments on campus. Their research is funded primarily by federal agencies and not-for-profit organizations and continues to expand each year. The URC researchers brought in over $18 million in sponsored funding during Fiscal Year 2023. This position will join the team of research administrators and administrator supporting the URCs.
This position reports to the director and works closely with the faculty in the centers, the administrators in the centers, and the URC support team. This position provides pre-award and post award support to an assigned portfolio. This position is responsible for advising them of Federal, State, and university policies for their sponsored projects. All of the job responsibilities require independence, decision-making, and exercising judgment with little assistance from the supervisor. This position is currently remote; however, must be available to work in the office as needed.
List of Responsibilities:
· The person in this position is responsible for proposal submissions, including creating the budget, review of documents, entering all documents in Cayuse and the research portal.
· Monthly reconciliations on sponsored projects including salary distribution for personnel paid on sponsored projects.
· Panthermart approvals of purchases on sponsored projects, specifically for allowability of costs. Sponsored project agreements such as sub-awardees and consultants including entering in Panthermart, managing monthly invoicing, etc.
· Assist faculty PIs with RPPRs and other reports.
· Pre-certification of effort for personnel on sponsored projects
· Other duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will have excellent communication skills, work well within a team, and work independently. A CRA is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
