Job Summary
The Associate Vice President – Chief Marketing Officer at Georgia Southern University will lead, plan, and oversee the development of the University-wide brand and institutional marketing strategies. With direct supervision over marketing and creative teams, this role is critical in elevating the university market’s positioning and directly supports enrollment and retention, fundraising and development, community support, and research funding through industry-leading marketing strategies and tactics. The CMO will engage with internal and external stakeholders and advise senior leadership on issues that impact the university’s brand and reputation. The position reports directly to the Executive Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing, and Student Success and works closely with university leaders to ensure a cohesive and effective marketing approach. The CMO demonstrates a steadfast commitment to embodying the EMSS Division’s core values of service, collaboration, and excellence.
