Job Summary

The Band Assistant will maintain the band library, create, and dismantle music folders for the band ensembles, set-up for rehearsals and assist the director of bands with the running of the band’s Instagram page.

Responsibilities

Library duties – 25%
Will maintain the library and create music folders for the ensembles.

Set-up duties – 50%
Will set-up for ensemble rehearsals.

Instagram duties – 25%
Will create content for the IG page.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma

Other Required Qualifications
Organized, familiar with band music

Required Experience
Enrolled at GC, Enrolled in either Wind Symphony (MUEN 1010/3010) or Jazz Band (MUEN 1040/3040)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Must be able to lift 20lbs (chairs and stands)

KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of Instagram

SKILLS
Working with Excel spreadsheets and Canva
