Job Description Summary
Established in 1865, The George Washington University Law School is the oldest in Washington, DC. The school is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a charter member of the Association of American Law Schools. The law school is located on the GW campus in the downtown neighborhood, familiarly known as Foggy Bottom.
The Records Office of GW’s Law School is responsible for the maintenance of electronic records for student academic history, registration, course scheduling, graduation clearance, etc. This office ensures that the provision/release of student-related information and records are in accordance with the Family Educational and Rights Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as compliance with University guidelines and policies and accreditation standards.
The Assistant Director for Registration and Records will assist with the day-to-day administration of the Law School Records Office, including oversight of the maintenance and dissemination of information, data management activities, and the administration of Law School evening examinations. The incumbent will have to supervise Registration and Records Assistants and temporary staff. This position reports to the Director of Registration and Records.
Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
