Human Resources Site Lead: Vernon Mill – Vernon,CA
OVERVIEW:
The Human Resources Business Associate (HRBA) is responsible for leading key HR initiatives and providing coaching, training and development, and policy execution for all levels of the facility. This position will have a direct impact in the core areas of HR such as Labor Relations, Talent/Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Development, Employment, and Diversity/Inclusion
This position will work closely with all levels of the organization providing the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into HR in a manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the Human Resources Business Partner for site
- Serve as the project lead for change management initiatives
- Partner with Mill HR Manager and leadership in strategy development and execution
- Lead initiatives around annual process management (e.g. performance management cycle), workforce planning, diversity & inclusion, etc.
- Lead labor relations initiatives for the site and work closely with the labor union
- Facilitate, educate, coach, and guide employees at all levels to help enable them to deliver results.

Foster a strong working partnership with all functions to support plant objectives.

Develop short- and long-term strategies to drive organizational effectiveness, productivity, and improvements in key metrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Proven experience in HR working with all levels of the organization
- Strong positive employee relations skills
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to implement change and resolve conflict
- Ability to create and lead strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated understanding of fundamental HR competencies.
- Good analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access), Visio, and SharePoint; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills – ability to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results
- Ability to lead and manage projects independently

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $66700.00 – $100200.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee’s pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
