Job Summary:
The HR & Training Manager plays a critical role in advancing the training and documentation of standard operations within Fuku restaurants. This person works under the Human Resources department to create and maintain a training never ends mentality at Fuku and ensure that the restaurant teams have the proper tools and resources to succeed in their current and future roles. The HR & Training Manager is responsible for implementing a comprehensive training & development strategy that fosters a high level of performance, retention, engagement, and promotion paths for team members from within. This role is also responsible for Human Resources administrative duties, including recruitment, data management, compliance, and fielding employee inquiries & concerns.
Training & Development:
· Oversees and enhances the on-boarding and orientation process for restaurant employees
· Creates new and maintains existing training materials for all restaurant positions (exempt and non-exempt) in both new restaurants and existing restaurants; partners with respective departments for the development of training materials
· Leverages existing training software and works to enhance the overall employee training experience
· Provides in-person training and development, as well as support for hourly employees, and restaurant managers
· Partners with the Operations team to develop restaurant-level performance evaluations and employee development programs
· Partners with Operations team to develop and roll out restaurant-level incentive programs
· Enhance and maintain documentation of all operational procedures and processes for ongoing development of HR/Ops department SOPs
· Trains General Managers and Location Managers on thorough training and coaching of hourly employees
· Creates and maintains existing training materials for use in both new restaurants and existing restaurants, partners with respective departments for the development of training materials
· Partners with Culinary & Operations team to develop and roll out proper Department of Health and food safety training and procedures
· Partners with the Culinary & Operations in designing training for new menu items, LTOs, and new cooking procedures
· Assists the Operations team in developing training for General Managers and Location Managers on proper ordering of food, inventory items, and restaurant supplies
· Responsible for developing and maintaining training for restaurant technology systems (POS, task-management platforms, another tech)
· Develops training that focuses on enhancing the guest experience and problem-solving
· Assists with day-to-day operations at Fuku locations that are in staffing emergencies at the discretion of their supervisor
· Displays an upbeat, positive, and warm demeanor with staff consistent with the Fuku FRESH module of hospitality
Recruitment:
· Collaborate with supervisor on company recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks and on-boarding
· Partner with internal teams and management to assist with hourly recruitment efforts; posts open positions on appropriate job boards and manages Fuku career site
· Plan and participate in employment recruiting events, such as career fairs and open calls
· Partner with hiring managers to maximize the effectiveness of recruiting process, including regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of a successful recruitment process
· Management of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to further streamline and improve the company’s hiring process
HR Administration:
· Assists with Payroll/ Benefit projects from time to time
· First point of contact for Human Resources related questions
· Primary intake for all employee concerns or grievances; coordinates follow up meetings needed for the investigative process
· Coordinate hourly employee personnel changes, including promotions, transfers, demotions, and wage rate changes
· Maintains an active knowledge of local and federal labor laws and stays updated on the ever-changing world of employment legislation
· Collaborates on company culture, including company-sponsored events and parties, team activities, birthday celebrations, work anniversaries, and other assorted thank you’s for the Fuku restaurant and office team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or another related field preferred
· 2+ years of Training & Development Experience
· 1+ years of experience in Human Resources
· Restaurant/Hospitality experience required and a strong interest in working with restaurant teams on-site
· SHRM/PHR Certified a plus
· Experience developing and implementing company-wide training initiatives
· Experience with learning management systems, e-learning, and other training-related technology tools
· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
Physical Demands The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, standing, sitting for 4 to 8 hours, bending, squatting, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
