The Wellness Support Specialist (WSS) will greet visitors pleasantly and professionally while conveying a feeling of warmth, respect & understanding. A Wellness Support Specialist plays an important role in the continuum of HIV care by bridging housing and medical services with other supportive services specifically; Wellness University, Digital Health Literacy, and Access to Employment/ Volunteer Opportunities. This position will be responsible for providing client and administrative support through oversite and coordination of activities in the Positive Living Center (PLC). The PLC provides a safe haven for clients to utilize computers for digital access to support and social services, socialization, and job resources. The WSS will assist clients with minor technical requests that reinforce curriculum from Digital Health Literacy program, answering agency phone calls, processing staff and client faxed documentation, making photocopies or other administrative needs for client’s access to required services to improve overall quality of life, as well as schedule client transportation requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Open/close the PLC and make coffee daily (M-F, 9am to 4pm).
· Monitor the Positive Living Center and the proper administration of computer usage.
· Assist the Digital Health Literacy program with assigned client tasks such as resume building, computer assistance and web base application assistance.
· Encourage client participation and provide administrative support for Wellness University.
· Coordinate PLC daily activities and events as well as create monthly activity calendar.
· Process Lyft/Uber ride referrals and schedule pick-up and drop-off through the Lyft Concierge system.
· Provide client support in navigating Lyft/Uber to ensure they arrive timely to scheduled medical and social services appointments.
· Distribute snacks and ensure PLC is well maintained and clean throughout the day.
· Enforce Client Code of Conduct and facilitate Client Grievance Procedures and Client Incident Reports.
· Ensure that the Positive Living Center is stocked with appropriate snacks and supplies as well as conduct weekly inventory.
· Prepare purchase orders for snacks, drinks, and supplies for PLC and Wellness University.
· Purchase snacks from Sam’s and other venders monthly or as needed.
· Ensure the Wellness University instructors have access to classroom space, needed supplies, and sign in sheets.
· Assist with tracking, answering inquiries and assigning courses to consumers enrolled in Wellness University-Online.
· Responsible for updating bulletin boards with information pertaining to events, services, and available job positions.
· Monitor S-Fax website for incoming faxes and forward to appropriate personnel.
· Make copies, send faxes, and assist consumers with administrative related requests.
· Ensure consumers complete PLC Utilization Form and input data into CAREware within 24 hours of service.
· Organize sign in sheets for WU facilitators and enter data into CAREware within 24 hours of service.
· Ensure accurate, complete, and timely data entry and reporting of all relevant program and consumer data into CAREware, HMIS, Apricot, and/or other reporting systems as requested by supervisor and document client specific activities in written notes.

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Good strategic/critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented.
· Excellent verbal and written communications.
· Ability to operate with purpose, urgency, and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment — with particular attention to detail and organization
· Strong relationship-builder both with team and clients (internal and external)
· Competence in Excel and other Microsoft applications as well as Adobe
· Competence in Sharepoint and other applications
· Regular and predictable attendance is necessary.
· Maintain confidential information and adhere to all Friends For Life policies and procedures regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.

OSHA CATEGORY:
This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Training will be provided per Standard Operating Procedure for your area of operation. All FFL employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
