Responsibilities
Responsible for performing a broad spectrum of routine maintenance in all residence halls.
Responsible for performing skilled to highly skilled work related to the inspection, preventive maintenance, of electrical components, troubleshooting, installation and repairs of electrical components. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Repairs, replacement and installation of electrical devices, routine preventive maintenance inspections of electrical panels, switches, control panels, diagnostic testing of circuits and equipment. Assist in the repairs, replacement and installation of HVAC/Mechanical valves, pumps, motors, etc. as it relates to the disconnecting/connecting of electrical power.
Performs skilled maintenance and/or construction work requiring the application of trade skills, codes, and standard trade practices in the areas of electrical and HVAC/Mechanical trade. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Repairs, replacement, fabrication, installation, alteration, construction and design of facility components as it relates to the daily maintenance, operation/function of building equipment and all related electrical components within the (19) resident halls. Performs special renovation projects as assigned within the HVAC/Electrical trades.
Performs additional repairs and maintenance as assigned, assists other maintenance staff on various repairs/projects, and helps supervise as required.
Estimates time, personnel and material required on assigned tasks and keeps necessary records.

On Call: The employee is required to be accessible and available to return to work during off-duty hours (based on assignment/emergencies) and eligible to receive on-call pay.
