Responsibilities
Film Production:
Film, edit and produce a variety of educational videos for students and educators (e.g. documentary-style educational videos, marketing-style informative videos, instructional tutorials/videos for curriculum, etc.) Work with STEM content specialists to collaborate in the design and planning and procurement of the filming sets (local and on-location).
Production Management:
Serve as point-of-contact for all video projects and other media production specialists and facilitate internal communications to ensure high quality, accuracy of content, and efficiency, serve as quality control prior to all project deliveries, coordinate reviews and revisions of videos, and ensure delivery of each project in proper format. Establish and develop media production operations, research and select audiovisual equipment, software, and multimedia storage devices for purchase, maintain and update audiovisual equipment/software, build timelines and adhere to dates and goals, report resource needs to supervisor, organize and manage all video-related archives, independently record and edit videos as well as produce graphics-based animations, direct team throughout production process for all multimedia from start to finish, manage multiple media production projects simultaneously, serve as liaison between video team, content specialists, and web programmers, and create routine progress reports on all media projects to provide updates to supervisor.
Team recruitment, training, and management:
Recruit videographers, editors, graphics designers/animators, and closed captions personnel for video team, interview, select, train, and supervise all personnel, direct video team at recording locations as necessary as well as throughout editing, graphics designing, and animating, provide feedback and revision notes on all produced media, track team members’* progress on each task, and make adjustments to the production process as necessary.
Communications/Branding:
Establish branding and appropriate communications style in each media project, ensure adherence to appropriate communications strategy for all produced media, design styles of aesthetics and content delivery for various types of videos
Marketing and Outreach:
Solicit, record, and edit testimonials and user experience stories, cover live presentations and activities at conferences and produce overview videos both independently and with the assistance of the video team, produce trailers and ads, and increase overall exposure of project’s efforts by providing communications support and materials to project team as needed.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in film production, media communication or a similar field.
At least 2 years of experience in video production.
At least 1 year of leadership experience in the domain of media production.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Experience with social media.
Experience in the development of motion graphics.
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining project timelines and delivering projects on time.
Demonstrated team leader.
Excellent knowledge of all video and audio editing software applications.
Must provide portfolio with application.

Anticipated Salary Range
$45,000/year – negotiable
