Center for Leadership & Service
Responsibilities
This position serves as the first point of contact for the Center for Leadership & Service (CLS) office in the Dunlap Student Success Center. The administrative assistant plays a critical role in greeting and welcoming students, faculty, staff, community partners, and guests visiting the Center. This role responds to all inquiries regarding CLSC programs, services, and events. Receives and distributes incoming mail and packages for the department. Answers the Center’s main phone line, providing information and assistance as needed, and transferring calls to appropriate staff members. Manages the day-to-day operations of the front desk area and maintains the organization of the office as needed. Ensures accurate listings of all van, parking pass, and room reservations utilizing the Event Management System (EMS). Assists in establishing work priorities and assignments with the office’s OPS and Federal Work Study student assistants. Provides administrative and programmatic support for Center programs and services as needed. Serves as backup assistance and support for leadership and community engagement initiatives. Provides support, when needed, for other initiatives and programming.
Qualifications
High school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to two years; or post-high school education and experience equal to two years.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Experience with basic computer functions and applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word,
Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
Possess a strong customer focus with the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated salary range is low-to-mid $30,000’s. Actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications
