What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator responsible for advanced system administration, operational support and problem resolution for a complex Windows computing environment, including both virtualized and physical servers.
What you bring for experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Windows systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of physical and virtualized servers
Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture including, but not limited to, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft Exchange, Certificate Services, GPOs, Policies, and permissions
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Server management, Windows PowerShell and standard utilities, and common Windows security tools
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services
Knowledge of authentication protocols and techniques (LDAPS/SAML/Kerberos/etc)
In depth system administration knowledge and skills for Windows servers.
Hands on experience with installation, administration, upgrades, and support of server environments running under various Microsoft Operating Systems.
Perform regular day-to-day system administration activities
Install and configure various enterprise-wide infrastructure tools supporting configuration management, server and application monitoring, patch management, high availability
Scripting skills to automate day to day tasks
Possesses strong knowledge in network tools and protocols such as DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP
Ability to write and maintain automation code and scripts
Excellent knowledge of VMware and administration of virtual servers
Excellent working knowledge of NAS storage environment
Evaluate and remediate security vulnerabilities in a timely manner while not negatively impacting business needs.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Strong documentation skills and experience generating technical documents, diagrams, solutions specifications, guidelines, processes, and procedures
Strong Experience with scripting languages needed for day-to-day management of systems (PowerShell, Batch, VB).
Ability to automate day to day tasks through scripting is required
Ability to make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
Ability to Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
Ability to learn and architect new technologies into existing infrastructure as they are introduced
Ability to proactively provide written documentation to system process and designs
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines
Occasional weekend work and after-hours emergency support will be required
